Q & A

How did you get into modeling? Was it your dream?

I was approached at a bus stop by a photographer who scouts for Modelwerk. I just got back from eating a burger with my boyfriend and my best friend. In retrospect, I find that kind of funny.

In fact, I never really thought about modeling before I was scouted. I was sometimes approached by people in school about “modeling”, but I probably would never have applied on my own. So I am very grateful that I got the chance anyway! I really enjoy my job!!

What’s your first thought in the morning?

My first thought in the morning is usually about my breakfast and a cup of coffee. On good days it could happen that I work out before breakfast, but on other days I don´t … In any case, I love to think about, in bed in the morning, what I’m hungry for that day.

Which job will you never forget – and why?

I thought about this for a long time and I have to name two jobs that I just can’t decide between.

The first one I’ll never forget is my cover of TUSH Magazine 44. When I was booked for TUSH, I was modeling for just a month and the whole thing was super exciting for me. When I got to the studio in the morning on the second day, I was told that they had something special today and then I sat in the mask for the next seven hours, only to need three minutes for a photo with Armin Morbach afterwards. I had no idea that this picture would even end up on the cover … I was so happy!

The second job I have to tell you about was during my stay abroad in Athens and I got the chance to work on an editorial for Vogue there. That alone was such a great honor and of course a wonderful experience. Then there was the fact that we retold the film “Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind” in the editorial. This film is just beautiful and I was completely awed by the shooting and the pictures!

What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?

I think that was Verdon Canyon in France. I was there with my family during our summer vacation. We first went up along the steep slopes and at the end took a pedal boat through the canyon and it was just impressed. But I’ll never forget Santorini either!

We‘re curious – Who is your favorite designer?

I admire Alexander McQueen. His fashion pieces are so extraordinary and his fashion shows are unforgettable. I am of the opinion that McQueen will remain a significant figure in the fashion world through his unique ideas and creations.

You are beamed back in time: Who would you like to meet and why?

If I could choose who I would like to visit in the past, it would be my grandma. I would love to speak to her again and I would also be very excited to meet her as a young woman, as my grandpa says I look like her young self. Besides all of the obvious questions I’d like to ask her, I’d also like to talk to her as an artist about modeling, photography and the arts.

Do you have any secret talents we should know about?

I don’t actually keep anything secret about myself. But what you probably don’t know about me is that I love to draw. And I wouldn’t call myself a bad baker either … which is probably because I like to eat what I make afterwards.

You have one free wish…

I think I would like us all to survive this pandemic well. That people will no longer get sick and no longer have to die just because we cannot get this disease under control.
